Guided Horseback Trails
Ride the edge of the Botrivier Lagoon on a fully guided trail, where still waters mirror the Kogelberg mountains and the fynbos-covered slopes of Arabella Estate and the Rooisand Nature Reserve stretch out beside you. Our horses are calm, well-schooled and matched to riders of all experience levels. Horses can carry up to 90 kg.
Saddle up for a leisurely one-hour guided ride along the edge of the Botrivier Lagoon, where the still waters mirror the Kogelberg mountains and the fynbos-covered slopes of Arabella Estate stretch out beside you. Moving at a relaxed pace, you’ll spot waterbirds gliding across the lagoon and breathe in the clean Overberg air. As the ride concludes, add a glass of chilled bubbly and handcrafted canapés - the perfect way to toast the landscape you’ve just ridden through. Perfect for couples, small friend groups, and special occasions.
Follow the full sweep of the Botrivier Lagoon shoreline on a two-hour trail winding through indigenous fynbos and open farmland, with uninterrupted views across the water toward Arabella Country Estate. The extended ride covers more of the property’s diverse terrain - unhurried, immersive, and memorable. End with a beautifully presented high tea served in the open air, or ease into a curated wine tasting paired with local small bites. All trails are led by experienced, professional guides who prioritise both safety and enjoyment throughout.

Riding School
Whether you’ve never sat in a saddle or you’re working towards the competition ring, our riding school offers structured, professional tuition across all four disciplines - show jumping, dressage, showing, and equitation.
Our instructors are passionate and genuinely invested in your progress. Lessons are built around you: your goals, your level, and your horse or one of our carefully selected school horses and ponies. Every lesson is purposeful, every progression earned.

Patient, confidence-building lessons that lay the foundations of correct position, feel, and horsemanship from the very start.
Adult & Returning Riders
No judgement, just good instruction and a warm welcome back to the sport, whether your goal is hacking out or working back towards the arena.

Focused discipline-specific coaching to sharpen technique, develop partnership, and ride with confidence.
Our disciplines:
From pole work and first fences through to course riding, we develop bold, accurate, and rhythmic jumping across all levels.
Correct, classical training that builds suppleness, engagement, and harmony between horse and rider, from preliminary movements through to more advanced work.
Turnout, presentation, ring craft, and the finer points of moving and standing your horse to its absolute best advantage.
A focus on the rider’s position, balance, and effectiveness in the saddle - the foundation that underpins every other discipline and makes every horse go better.
Lessons are available individually or as part of a structured programme. Group lessons, private sessions, and holiday clinics run throughout the year.
