Where It All Began
Our Backstory
The Home-Grown Home Base was built from the ground up - quite literally.
Nestled on the iThemba Farm alongside the breathtaking Rooisand Nature Reserve, our home began not with an office, stables and arenas, but with hard work, muddy boots, and a clear vision.
The early days were spent clearing alien vegetation and making the land our own, weathering a full Western Cape winter in temporary shelter while the dream took shape around us. From those first fence posts and freshly dug foundations, things began to grow.
A stable block rose from the earth, a roofed arena followed, and paddocks were carefully laid out across the landscape - each one a step closer to something we could be truly proud of. What you see today is the result of that grit, patience, and passion: a venue unlike any other, where the natural beauty of the Kogelberg meets a facility built with purpose, by people who love this area.
